Editor (News & Money desk) in New York

Stacker is looking for a kind, organized, and collaborative colleague to join our growing newsroom as a news and money editor. In particular, we’re looking for a candidate with subject matter expertise in at least some of the following areas:

Money

• Real estate (market, mortgages, buying vs. renting)
• Finance
• Economy (trends, policy)
• Small business and startups (trends, service angles)

News

• U.S. politics
• Health (conditions & diseases, outcomes, insurance)
• Science
• Climate change & weather

As an editor at Stacker, you’ll help shape and manage our coverage across the money and news desk, working with freelancers on a wide variety of stories each month. We’re looking for candidates with excellent news judgment and storytelling skills, including a sharp sense of when a story needs a complete overhaul versus a light polish (and everything in between).
