Bankruptcy Attorney in New York

We are looking for a bankruptcy attorney with at least 2 years of experience to join an established and dynamic office and firm. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, excellent oral and written communication skills, and be licensed to practice law in one or more of the states where the firm has an office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Representing clients in bankruptcy proceedings
• Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Providing counsel to clients on various bankruptcy matters
• Managing a caseload with minimal supervision
• Collaborating with other attorneys and staff members on cases

• Draft and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and other forms
• Attend court hearings with clients
• Advise clients on bankruptcy laws and their rights
• Negotiate with creditors on behalf of clients
• Conduct research on bankruptcy and financial law
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in the state
