The Human Rights Officer ensures that recipients of mental health services are notified of their rights; assists with resolution of complaints from or concerning recipients of services; provides patients' rights training to staff and serves as liaison with outside entities as necessary.
Carries out quality and risk management activities defined in the Quality Program Plan
In consultation with the Director of QI-RM-PI, serves as a point of contact and intermediary to respond to patient, family, caregiver and/or guardian concerns withing timeframes designated by hospital and regulatory guidelines.
Resolves patients' complaints and grievances and/or convey questions, complaints, problems and concerns of patients to proper personnel.
In consultation with Director of QI-RM-PI, completes follow-up contacts to discharged patients/caregivers/guardians along with completing the necessary supporting documentation
