Design Engineer in Kansas

The Tools and DI Design Engineer works with a team to design, build, test, and refine tooling systems for the environmental, geotechnical, geothermal, construction, and water well markets.   The successful candidate for this position will be able to take a project from concept to completion, taking into account budgeting and operational considerations.  This individual will enjoy getting their hands dirty, and working with various drilling equipment.  In addition to design, they will work in our various shops manufacturing prototypes, and in the field, operating Geoprobe drilling equipment to test new tools and DI systems.  Our engineers enjoy a steady mix of working at their desk, working in the shop, and working in the field.

This individual will enjoy working with and around “big iron” (we’re not making little widgets) and will design components, and systems for machine chassis, powertrain, and control systems. They will also enjoy getting out in the shop to test and refine their projects (our engineers typically spend less than 70% of their time working at their desk).
