Cath Lab Tech in Florida

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technician to join our team. As a Cath Lab Technician, you will specialize in the cardiovascular system and work closely with patients and cardiologists during procedures.

Responsibilities:

- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for procedures by taking vital signs, starting IVs, obtaining medical histories, and explaining the procedure. Provide emotional support and ensure that patients understand the process.

- Equipment Preparation: Prepare the procedure room, ensure an adequate stock of supplies, sterilize instruments and catheters, calibrate pressure transducers and tubing, and set up catheterization trays.

- During Procedures: Assist cardiologists with surgeries and other procedures, maintain and operate EKG equipment and real-time readouts, and prepare patients for angioplasty while anesthetizing the area.

The RT/Cardiovascular Technician assists the cardiologist radiologist in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab in the performance of invasive procedures and provides a safe environment of the patient. The RT/CVT will also participate in monitoring, scrubbing, and circulating duties. Keeps up to date on new procedures, equipment and exam protocols, and assists with maintaining supply inventory at acceptable levels. Operates equipment safely and maintains ALARA standards while performing all types of procedures within the scope of the RT/CVT’s practice.
