Position Overview

The Early Childhood Educator plays a vital role in supporting parents as their child's first and most important teacher. This position is responsible for designing and facilitating parent-child interactive classes for children ages 0-5 years, providing opportunities for parents to engage in meaningful interactions with their children while learning developmentally appropriate activities. The educator helps parents understand developmental milestones, encourages ongoing learning at home, and provides parent education to strengthen the parent-child bond. This role also facilitates a virtual self care group for Black and African American parents/caregivers, and may support with monthly in-person events for the self care group.
