Data Center Technician I (Overnight Shift) SV7 in California

CoreSite's Data Center Technician I will assist in the operational integrity, security, and regulatory compliance of the assigned data center. Technicians will learn and gain experience through assisting more experienced data center technicians in day to day operations of the data center including security functions, general site response and triage, and customer interaction. Technicians must ensure that data center problems are identified and repaired quickly, that contractors deliver quality services, and that internal customer demands are met.

We are currently hiring for the Overnight Shift: 11:00pm - 7:00am, Sunday - Thursday

A Tier 1 technician will hold responsibilities in the functional areas of: Security operations, first-responder, fire watch, safety, trouble shooting, causality response, and customer service. The SV7 Facilities and Data Center Technician IV must possess an expert level of knowledge and will be responsible for the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of the facilities and data center electrical, mechanical, fire life safety systems, and communications infrastructure.

Please note that this opening is specifically for our SV7 overnight shift which requires the ability to regularly work from 11:00pm to 7:30am PST Tuesday - Saturday.

Mechanical responsibilities will include chilled water systems and components, HVAC systems such as roof top units, CRAC/CRAH units, and humidification systems.

Electrical responsibilities will include electrical/critical power distribution from the Utility/Generator main switchgear through the UPS systems out to the customer load.
