Associate Attorney - Premises Liability in California

Direct Counsel is looking for an associate attorney to join an award-winning law firm's premises liability and toxic tort practice. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of general civil litigation experience. Responsibilities:

• Propound and respond to discovery, handle law and motion practice, attend court hearing, take and defend depositions, including expert depositions, handle all motion practice, attend mediations, prepare for trial
• Conduct discovery, including issuing subpoenas, conduct interviews, and review legal documents
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to reach settlement agreements
• Draft pleadings and other legal documents, such as motions and discovery requests
