Painter II - 2nd Shift in Alabama

POSITION GOAL: Reporting to the Paint Cell Leader, this position will be for someone who will be able to develop the skills required for cleaning and preparing buses for secondary finish paint applications. They will also be able to develop the skills required to apply primers and finish paint coatings, with guidance from the Painter 1, while following the existing procedures developed by our coating’s supplier and New Flyer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Must be able to apply tape and/or decals in accordance to customer requirements. Must be able to complete all assigned training in the time allotted. Must be able to pass all sections of our paint application skills evaluation after all training is complete. Skills training includes: Must have wrist flexibility to insure proper spray technique, insure paint gun travels straight, even coat of material, proper on and off triggering of paint gun.
